Welcome Poinsettias combines a traditional Christmas palette with a layered patchwork frame. The embroidered center features poinsettias, leaves, berries, and the word “Welcome,” creating a clear focal point before the design expands outward into more graphic piecing.

A wide black border immediately surrounds the embroidery and gives the center strong definition. Beyond that, red and green diamond units alternate with crisp white background pieces, creating a rhythmic traditional patchwork border. The outer floral print returns to the poinsettia theme with a darker mix of red, green, and muted gold.

The design works because the embroidery and patchwork echo one another rather than competing. Poinsettias appear both in embroidery and in the outer fabric, while the black framing connects the center, binding, and darker floral border into one composition.

Machine quilting adds surface texture and structure without introducing another dominant motif. The finished piece measures 26″ wide x 22″ high and is made from 100% cotton fabric with cotton batting.

A sewn hanging sleeve on the back allows it to be displayed with a buyer-supplied rod or dowel. Its horizontal proportions make it particularly suitable for an entry, dining area, hallway, or seasonal display above furniture.
